My work focuses on organic abstraction and the free-form use of color. Much of my inspiration comes from the Color Field and Lyrical Abstraction movements. As color and gesture begin to relate to one another on the canvas, they start to pull from past memories and feelings creating raw, ambiguous forms that provide a framework for ideation. I am constantly seeking equilibrium in my work, trusting intuition and embracing imperfections, until reaching a desired aesthetic and composition.
